Welcome to the website of the Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation, also known as HPEDC.   

As a not-for-profit corporation established in 1988, HPEDC strives to improve the business and resident environment of Hunts Point by providing programs and services to assist businesses and local residents. 

HPEDC improves the business and resident environment by helping to create and to secure jobs, and to help current businesses attain the resources and information they need in order to more effectively compete in the local and regional economy. 

Through its programs, HPEDC works to:

• Assist business entrepreneurs, through the WBRC and BOC 
• Revitalize Hunts Point, via Commercial Revitalization and Streetscape
• Improve security and safety, through the Neighborhood Navigators program
• Bridge the information divide, by way of the Hunts Point Internet Cafe
• Connect businesses, through the Chamber of Commerce.
• Monitors and coordinates municipal services for the Hunts Point industrial park
• Administer The New York State Empire Zone Program (EZ)
